Daytime Festival at LSBU

- The LSBU – Hub is a large building with four floors.
- There is step-free level access throughout the building.
- There are two main lifts and three main staircases.
- There are additional lifts and staircases in the building which are not in general usage.
- The floors are signed as 00, 01, 02 and 03.
We will be on the first floor. The main entrance has a platform lift to reach this level. Staff will be present on-site to help with the lift if needed.
The plenary sessions will be in a lecture theatre with stepped seating. It has step free access and reserved wheelchair space at the upper level, and an elevator with more wheelchair space on the lower level. There will be sound amplification but no hearing loop.
The parallel sessions in other spaces may have some background noise from other discussions happening nearby.


Toilet and changing facilities
There are 4 toilets with adaptations.
Toilets with adaptations are located throughout floors 01, 02 and 03.
The transfer space varies between left and right in the toilets with adaptations.
The male and female step-free toilet facilities are located on floors 01, 02 and 03.
The shared step-free toilet facilities are located on floors 01 and 02.
Public Transport
The nearest train station is Elephant and Castle.
The nearest underground station is Elephant and Castle.

Parking
The venue does not have its own car park.
There is not a designated drop-off point available.
On-street standard parking is available
The on-street designated Blue Badge parking bays are located on Rotary Street and Keyworth Street. The Blue Badge bays are clearly marked and signposted.
Saturday Night Party
Address: Pelican House, 144 Cambridge Heath Rd, Bethnal Green, London E1 5QJ
Party info: 6pm till late.
Includes a sober space.
2nd floor: common room and side rooms, kitchen, gender neutral toilets and toilet with adaptations (no emergency pull chord).
Access to building is up a ramp, door does not have automatic/electronic opening but comrades will be on hand if needed
Building has stairs and an elevator to all floors
Entrance is through a heavy gate on the left of the UVW office, near the bridge (pictured above).
