Terms and Conditions
These Terms govern the rs21 Festival of the Oppressed 2026 Prize Draw (the “Promotion”). By participating, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Promoter
The Promoter is Revolutionary Socialism in the 21st Century (rs21).
This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram.
2. Promotion Period
The Promotion opens at 00:01 on 9 May 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 4 June 2026 (“Closing Date”).
Entries received after this time will not be valid.
3. Eligibility
3.1. The Promotion is open to UK residents aged 16 or over.
3.2. Entrants must have a valid Instagram account.
3.3. Only non-rs21 members are eligible to win prizes.
3.4. rs21 members may participate by nominating non-members via tagging in accordance with Section 5.
3.5. A valid entry is created either:
- (a) when an eligible non-rs21 member completes the entry steps themselves; or
- (b) when an rs21 member tags an eligible non-rs21 member in accordance with these Terms.
3.6. The Promoter reserves the right to verify eligibility at any stage and disqualify any entrant who does not meet these requirements.
3.7. If a winner is nominated (i.e. entered by another person), they will be contacted to confirm acceptance of the prize. If they decline or do not respond, an alternative winner will be selected.
4. Free Entry
4.1. Entry is free and no purchase is necessary.
4.2. Internet access is required; no additional charges are applied by the Promoter.
5. How to Enter
5.1. To participate during the Promotion Period:
- Follow @rs21org on Instagram
- Like the relevant Promotion post
- Comment on the post and tag a non-rs21 member
5.2. Where a non-rs21 member completes these steps themselves, they are entered into the draw.
5.3. Where an rs21 member completes these steps and tags a non-rs21 member, the tagged non-member will be entered into the draw instead of the rs21 member.
5.4. Tagged individuals are not required to follow or like the post in order to be entered but must meet eligibility requirements if selected as a winner.
5.5. Each eligible non-rs21 member may receive a maximum of one (1) entry per Promotion post, regardless of how many times they are tagged within that post.
5.6. Each participant (including rs21 members) may submit a maximum of one (1) comment per Promotion post.
5.7. Where multiple Promotion posts are published during the Promotion Period, entrants may enter once per post. Each post constitutes a separate opportunity to enter.
5.8. The Promoter reserves the right to disregard duplicate, spam, or abusive tagging.
5.9. Participants should only tag individuals they know and have permission to tag.
6. Entry Rules
6.1. The entrant is always the eligible non-rs21 member associated with a valid entry.
6.2. rs21 members cannot be entrants or winners.
6.3. Where an individual is tagged multiple times within the same Promotion post, only one entry will be included for that post.
6.4. Each entrant may only win one prize.
6.5. If selected as a winner, the entrant will receive two (2) tickets: one for themselves and one for a guest.
6.6. The guest must be aged 16 or over and must not be an rs21 member.
6.7. Entries must not contain unlawful, offensive, or inappropriate content. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify such entries.
7. Prize
7.1. There are five (5) prizes available.
7.2. Each prize consists of two (2) tickets to the Festival of the Oppressed 2026, taking place 20–21 June 2026 at London Southbank University.
7.3. Total prize pool: ten (10) tickets.
7.4. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and there is no cash alternative.
7.5. No alternative dates or compensation will be provided if a winner cannot attend.
7.6. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value if necessary.
8. Winner Selection
8.1. All valid entries across all Promotion posts will be combined into a single prize draw.
8.2. Five (5) winners will be selected at random using a fair and verifiable process.
8.3. The draw will take place on 6 June 2026 (or the next working day if necessary).
9. Winner Notification
9.1. Winners will be contacted via Instagram direct message within two (2) days of the draw.
9.2. Winners must respond within five (5) days.
9.3. The Promoter may also comment publicly on the post to prompt a response.
9.4. If a winner cannot be contacted, declines the prize, does not respond, or is ineligible, an alternative winner will be selected at random.
10. Prize Fulfilment
10.1. Winners must provide accurate contact details.
10.2. Tickets will be issued electronically.
11. Publicity
11.1. The Promoter may publish winners’ surname and county.
11.2. Winners may object at the time of claiming their prize.
12. Data Protection
12.1. Personal data will be used only for administering the Promotion.
13. General
13.1. The Promoter may disqualify fraudulent or invalid entries.
13.2. The Promoter’s decision is final.
13.3. These Terms are governed by English law.
